Kennel Technician -- Become a Dog Care Expert
The right applicant will always be considered for a kennel technician position, whether or not we have an immediate opening. Kennel techs generally work 20-40 hours per week. Starting pay is $9 per hour. Experience in animal care strongly preferred.
Flexible availability, including a.m. and p.m. shifts, holidays, and weekends, is required.
As a member of our team, you will:
- Have an opportunity to expand your knowledge of dog health and behavior
- Receive on-the-job training

Duties will include:
- Cleaning
- Feeding
- Medicating
- Rotating dogs in playgroups
- Supervising playgroups
- Participating in playgroups
- Canine TLC
- Grooming/bathing
Skills/qualities that will help you be successful:
- Attention to detail
- Physical and mental stamina
- Knowledge of (or ability to learn quickly) canine health and behavioral issues
- Knowledge of (or ability to learn quickly) canine communication, signaling, and body language
- Good communication skills, both written and oral
- Concern for each detail of the customers’ experience, both canine and human customers
- An appreciation of the dog/human bond, and the ability to keep that foremost in your actions and intentions
- Ability to work well independently and within a team
