While
you are at work all day, your dog might be anxious,
lonely, destructive or bored. Taurus' Doggy Play Day is daycare for
your pet.
While
at daycare, your dog will romp and play with other dogs
in a supervised environment. To ensure your pup's safety
and enjoyment, all dogs at Taurus go through an evaluation
period to assess personality and temperament. The dogs
are rotated in groups of 7-12 and are matched by age,
temperament and size.
The
dogs get to play outside approximately six to seven
times a day, for about 30-60 minutes each time. During
lunchtime, the dogs nap and recharge in our climate-controlled
kennels until the next playtime.
In
addition to having fun, your dog will learn how to interact
and communicate with other dogs in a controlled environment.
Dogs who are insecure around other dogs can gain confidence.
Dogs with separation anxiety can learn how to be apart
from their parents in a fun environment. Young dogs
will learn how to be well adjusted and confident in
the world around them.
Your
dog will also learn to enjoy a kennel atmosphere. This
will help your dog feel more comfortable and confident
when boarding and in other new situations.
When
dogs are picked up from daycare or boarding, they are
often still revved up from play, and may sleep heavily
when they get home. They may also drink a large amount
of water. During the day, the dogs always have access
to water, but as pack animals they may overindulge
in food and drink when they arrive back at their "den."
This is normal behavior. Just make sure they don't drink
or eat too much too quickly because it might cause stomach
upset.
All
dogs over 14 months of age must be spayed or neutered.
