Dog of the Day
March 9, 2010: Betti
This adorably wrinkly little lady is Betti the Bassett Hound. New to Taurus Lamar, she didn't waste an instant warming up to the staff and getting some serious cuddle time. She's a sweetie in the yards as well, toddling around on her short, stubby legs lovin' on her fellow dog-mates. Betti is also known to get a bit energetic here and there, inviting her friends to play, worming her long body back in forth in a gleeful manner, giving her the appearance of a fuzzy caterpillar. Our affections for Betti were immediate and lasting, and we hope to continue to see her soulful brown eyes gazing up at us as she enters the lobby, eager to embark on another day of fun.

March 2, 2010: Rosie
This adorable little black Dachshund mix is none other than Rosie, a Taurus Lamar sweetheart that has us all captivated with her cheerful disposition and spunky attitude. Rosie's little tush never seems to stop wiggling, her tail swishing a mile a minute, greeting everyone with happiness and delight, showering all with gleeful, affectionate kisses. If you were to peer on her in the yard, she would usually be on top of the play-scape, yapping a happy tune and romping with her dog friends. We can't find the words to describe what an impact knowing her has had on all our lives except to say Rosie is family, and we all dearly love this floppy-eared little girl!

February 25, 2010: Baby
This gorgeous brindle pit is Baby! She has been gracing us with her presence at Taurus McNeil for quite some time and we love every minute of it! Baby is also our resident diva! She has her special VIP suite where she likes to lounge about keeping an eye on us techs. She also has a very exclusive guest list. If your dog has had the pleasure of appearing on this list then you can bet they had the time of their lives playing with Baby. Baby is also great with her fans! She always has time for us techs to give her a good hug and rub down. We are looking forward to seeing Baby soon!

February 23, 2010: Delilah
This adorable little creature may lead you to believe you've just spied a baby Ewok, but she's really a tiny Brussels Griffon named Delilah.
Everyone at Taurus Lamar fell instantly head over heels in love with the sweet, spunky gal, and we often pamper her with affection and belly rubs between rotations. Delilah is adored in the yards as well and has many playmates. She could brighten anyone's day romping around with her paws in the air, play-bowing and wiggling her tiny-tailed toosh.
Delilah recently enrolled in our Board and Train program along with her younger brother Apollo, and they have both been proving that beauty and brains can definitely come in the same package! We are so glad to have come to know this little girl and hope Taurus will continue to be her "Home Away From Home."

February 18, 2010: Nani
Chances are that if you have toured the McNeil facility that you have met this cute doxie! Nani loves to say hello to everyone that comes across her path. After she nabs your attention, a quick hug and some lovin is in order. When she is done being cuddly, Nani loves to run around the yards chasing other dogs and sometimes the techs! We could not imagine a day without Nani at Taurus McNeil and love seeing her everyday!

February 16, 2010: Rocki
Who's that little brown rascal dashing through the yard sending up a spray of rocks in her wake? Why, that's Rocki the Boxer pup, happy and carefree, leading her friends (of which there are many!) in a game of chase. Rocki is a rambunctious little tyke that we have all grown to love. Whether it be her sweet, slobbery kisses, adorable howl accompanied by a full body wiggle, or her cunning maneuvers to draw the techs into a game of chase, Rocki always leaves everyone, human and dog alike, with a smile on their face and an excitement in their hearts. Rocki's joyful attitude leaves no shortage of fun here at Taurus Lamar, and we eagerly await our next encounter with this furry little sweetheart.

February 11, 2010: Stogie
This perky eared pup is Stogie! He is a great listener and always listens to what you ask him! Sit? No problem! Here? Got that covered. Roll over and play dead? Well…we are working on that. He also always knows what is going on in the yards and loves to jump right and be a part of the fun. Stogie is a great playmate for our more energetic dogs here at McNeil because he seems to never run out of energy himself. We hope to see him soon!

February 10, 2010: Layla
Layla is a playful and heartwarming puppy. We at Taurus Metric were lucky to see her grow right infront of our eyes. Layla is most happy when she is running all over the yard, chasing many of her doggie freinds. She loves belly rubs and we love giving them to her!

February 9, 2010: Cooper
This little guy is Cooper, a Boston Terrier with a bit o' Pit Bull mixed into his wiggley frame. A Taurus Lamar Training graduate, Cooper has captured the hearts and minds of every tech and fellow canine with his sweet, adoring countenance and impressive intellect. It's tough to resist this black and white wonder when he looks up at you with his lovely brown eyes, waggles his nubby little tail and sits politely for a pat and a cuddle. Cooper has wiggled his way not only into our hearts, but into our lives and we are glad to have him there for a long time to come!

February 4, 2010: Chuck
This adorable cutie is Chuck, who just celebrated a year with us at Taurus McNeil and we have enjoyed his time with us here very much! When Chuck isn’t chasing the other dogs around the yards with his sister Mia, you can find him in the arms of a tech, getting in some quick snuggles before he has to go back in. Chuck is a great buddy for shy dogs also! His calm and quiet attitude helps any dog feel right at home! We hope to see Chuck very soon!

February 2, 2010: Finn
This adorable orange puffball is none other than Finn the Labradoodle, known around Taurus Lamar for his smarts and his amazing cuddliness. Once a shy lad, he is now a bounding, energetic little rascal with no shortage of friends of both the four-legged and two-legged varieties. You might blame his magnetism on his soft fluffy main, but his winsome attitude, charming smile and tremendous brain are the real culprits. Deeply proud of litle Finn having graduated our training program, we will continue to fondly anticipate each day we are graced with his fuzzy presence.

January 28, 2010: Hadley
Meet Hadley: the world’s most bouncy boxer! This cute pup is a regular at Taurus McNeil and we love every second we get to have her here! Hadley is one of our resident party planners. With her title she likes to make sure everyone in the yard is having a blast; not that she has a lot of trouble making that happen. We all at McNeil are really excited to watch this puppy grow up with us!

January 27, 2010: Rocketdog
Rocketdog is a wonderful new addition to the Taurus family. He is always excited to see us and has a great time in the yard. He has over come so much, and his mom has taken such great care of him to get him to where he is and we love him just the way he is. You can see him on YouTube playing soccer with all of his new best friends.

January 26, 2010: Kodi
Kodi is one of the most handsome German Shepherd's you have ever seen, but don't let his lustrous golden coat blind you to his other charms. He is not only intelligent and well-behaved, but a popular guy in the yards as well. He loves to chase his friends all around the yard, occasionally challenging one of them to a playful, vertical boxing match that always finishes with drooling grins on both dog's faces. He also has a place in his affections for the techs and will certainly stop in between romps for a cuddle or two. Kodi is a golden boy with a golden heart and we all love him here at Taurus Lamar.

January 21, 2010: Taavi
This majestic Australian Shepherd is Taavi. Not only is he one of the bounciest dogs you will ever meet, he is also deaf. But don’t think that stops him from tearing it up in the yards! Once Taavi finds a playmate and gets to playing, there is not stopping him until he plops down in exhaustion. Taavi is a wonderful example of overcoming impairments and is very well trained by his mom(you would never know he couldn’t hear)! We hope to see this bright eyed wonder soon at Taurus McNeil!

January 20, 2010: Koda
Koda was a Town Lake doggie before she found her new home. She is a lucky girl who's dad has a big heart. She is also the swetest Pitty that you will ever meet. She loves to give big wet kisses and we love evey minute of her!

January 14, 2010: Pepper
This cute German Shorthair Pointer is Pepper! It’s no wonder that this fiery pup became a quick favorite at Taurus McNeil. She is a great playmate for any dog and loves to spice up the yard! When her bouncing around the playscapes and running around the yards is done, you can find her conserving her energy for the next rotation. We hope to see Pepper soon!

January 13, 2010: Brandi
Say Hi to Brandi, he's the handsome Corgi on the right. He has just recently began to visit us again here at Metric after taking some time off. Brandi come to playdays twice a week now and we've really seen him come out of his shell. When he first visited us he was a little unsure of other dogs and now look at him hangin out with his friends.

January 7, 2010: Sierra
This blue eyed beauty is Sierra! When this sweet girl first joined us at Taurus McNeil, she was a bit bashful. But it didn’t take long for her to see how much we loved her to help break her shyness and gain her trust. Now she can’t wait to be petted by the techs in the yard and snuggle up on these extra chilly days (Hey she is a husky mix! She is built for this weather!). When she isn’t snuggling with the techs, you can find Sierra in a pro game of tag with the other dogs! We hope to see her soon!

December 31, 2009: Coco
When the weather outside is frightful, Coco is the dog you want to snuggle up with and get warm! This sweet Golden Retriever is a true joy to have with us for the holidays at Taurus McNeil. When not snuggling up with the dogs in the kennels, Coco is bringing life to the yards, rain or shine! She really is a friend to all and makes even the grumpy dogs get a little frisky. We hope to see Coco soon!

December 24, 2009: Dan and Little Ann
Who needs reindeer when you have Great Pyrenees'! Meet Dan and Little Ann! A favorite of ours at Taurus McNeil to have around the holidays. These two are soft, fluffy, and big (and very tempting to use as a pillow in the yards). Dan is a super laid back guy who loves to sunbathe after saying a quick hello to everyone in the yard. Little Ann is more playful and loves to hang out with a few of her closest friends. Happy Holidays from all of us at McNeil!

December 17, 2009: Piper
You can’t miss this adorable Irish wolfhound! Piper is one of our largest dogs with a big heart to match! She loves to play with all kinds of dogs, large and small and standing on top of the playscapes is one of her favorite activities. Despite her size, she makes a great cuddle buddy for her run mate! We hope to see her at Taurus McNeil soon!

December 16, 2009: Parker
Say hello to Parker. This beautiful yellow lab is brand new to the Taurus family and so far she has fit in perfectly. She is always willing to play a game of chase with the faster dogs in the yard so if you think your pup can keep up come in to Taurus Metric so that they can introduce themselves to Parker. She’s so smart and mature its hard to believe that she will be celebrating her first birthday this Christmas. Happy Birthday Parker.

December 10, 2009: Buster
Chances are that if your toy dog has come to Taurus McNeil, this lovable Doxie has played with them! Buster is a super sweet guy who knows how to get the playful side of anyone out! When he is not running around the yards, he makes a great buddy for the shy dogs in the kennel! We hope to see Buster soon!

December 9, 2009: Tibo
This large handsome pup is named Tibo. Tibo has just recently become a member of the Taurus Metric family and love being here as much as we love having him. He’s a little blurry his picture because he loves to run and play and it’s not easy to catch him in a slow motion. He is always in a great mood and willing to meet and play with any dog that can keep up. If you pup is not already friends with Tibo, he would love to play with them so come in and say hi.
